If you are looking for something different, off the tourist trail, then this tour is for you.

Irelands Ancient East is for the people who love to get away from the masses but still see some amazing sites and meet some great people along the way.

As the name suggests, this is a tour to some of Irelands most ancient and historical sites, Glendalough is home to Saint Kevin's Monastery, nestled in what is now Wicklow Mountains National Park, it was once home to a thriving community of monks which yielded our name, The Land of Saints and Scholars.

Not only is this tour full of history but it is also full of quaint little villages and towns along the way. Talk to locals in Inistioge, have a pint with a farmer in Duncannon. The people you meet along the way are as memorable as the places you see.

Stroll through the streets of Kilkenny city and see what the medieval mile has in store for you. Leading from Kilkenny Castle to the Cathedral of Saint Canice, where the city gets its name. This charming city is full of character and characters!

See it all in County Wexford as we explore Johnstown Castle and its gardens as well as the oldest operational lighthouse in the world, Hook Lighthouse. See Loftus Hall, a house so haunted even Oliver Cromwell wouldn't live in it.

No visit to the south east is complete without a visit to Irelands oldest city, Waterford. Craftsmen at Waterford Crystal have been blowing glass and cutting world famous crystal for generations. Why not check out The Viking Triangle? The original site of Waterford city, with buildings still standing from the 12th century, they replaced original buildings from early 900AD.

Middleton Distillery is home to Jameson whiskey and seeing as we are so close why not pop in to say hello!

We make our way to Blarney Castle early from Cork city to beat the crowds and we kiss the Blarney Stone

The Rock of Cashel is a must for any history buff, once home to the Kings of Muster and evolved to be one of Irelands largest monasteries, what a great way to finish off a 5 day tour of the South East of Ireland.
