Starting from Galway city the first thing to do is get out and explore the city with a walking tour. Learning all about this medieval city gives you a great sense of what makes the us Irish!

The Aran Islands follow, as we travel by ferry to this destination point on the Wild Atlantic Way. This place is a throwback in time, with stone walls as far as the eye can see and home of the Aran sweater you can be sure to find beauty around every corner. Take a bicycle or maybe a horse and cart around the island to see the sites.

Getting the ferry back to the mainland we travel to Doolin, famous for its traditional Irish music and where great sea food awaits, (they do a good steak as well!)

 

We venture towards the Cliffs of Moher. These jaw dropping cliffs, standing at over 700ft tall, are spectacular no matter what time of year and might just be one of the most famous points on the Wild Atlantic Way.

 

Making our way towards the Dingle peninsula, one of the most stunning areas in the whole country, we end up in Dingle town, steeped in Irish heritage and culture, it is also one of the foodie capitals of the country. This peninsula boasts one of the world most beautiful coastal drives, Slea Head Drive, which takes us out to the most westerly point of Ireland. Then back to town for drinks and traditional Irish music.

Moving on towards Killarney, the Ring of Kerry and Killarney National Park await to discover waterfalls, native deer, beautiful wildlife and of course Muckross House. Killarney town is where we are staying. A town that is beaming with excitement and full of life.

 

Getting back on the Ring of Kerry, we discovery the beautiful craft village of Kenmare. Heading to County Cork, Irelands largest county, it is locally known as the Rebel county. Staying in Cork city centre tonight.

First thing in the morning we head straight for Blarney and kiss the world famous stone, good fortune and the gift of the gab await! 

The medieval Rock of Cashel is next up on route to Kilkenny city, Irelands only city with a village vibe.

 

Explore Kilkenny Castle or the medieval mile and round up our tour with a visit to Glendalough National Park before getting back to Dublin with 1000s of photos and memories that will last a lifetime.
