Where do your tour depart from?

  • All of our tours depart from 25-28 Bachelors Walk. Between the ha'penny bridge and O Connell Street

What is the minimum / maximum size of a tour?

  • Our minimum tour size is two people, to give you the confidence that your tour will definitely go as planned

  • Our maximum tour size is 15 people to ensure maximum comfort of all passengers

Are there any luggage restrictions?

  • Unfortunately, Yes. 

  • Because of our limited storage space in our vehicle we would ask for you to limit your luggage size to 32"/80cm on its longest side

Is there airport collection and drop off?

  • The only airport collection and drop off is for our bespoke private tours. They are not included in our general tours.

What if my tour is cancelled?

  • We try out upmost to honour all our tour dates and cancelling them is the last thing we want to do. We guarantee tour departure with minimum 2 passengers. But in the unlikely event, such as a global pandemic, we will have to follow government guidelines. In such an incident we can always defer your tour to a later date.

What if I have to cancel my tour?

  • Please see our cancellation policy in terms and conditions.

What is your payment procedure?

  • We need a €250 deposit in order to confirm your booking. 

  • You can choose either to pay the balance in instalments or in a one off payment.

  • The full balance is due 60 days before your tour departure

  • If you book with less than 60 days to your departure, full payments is required. 

Do I need a visa to travel to Ireland?

  • Visas are required from certain countries to enter Ireland, please check with your local embassy to see whether you need one before you travel.

What is the legal drinking age in Ireland?

  • The legal drinking age is 18 in Ireland

Are there age restrictions on your tour?

  • Yes, we recommend a minimum age of 15 to enjoy our general tours. For younger explorers see our bespoke private tours.

What clothes should we pack for Ireland?

  • We recommend layers, loads of layers! As well as light weight waterproof jackets and pants. If you have room to spare, waterproof foot ware will always come in handy.

What is the weather like in Ireland?

  • Lets just say you don't come to Ireland for a sun holiday!

  • Although we do get sunshine here in the summer months, it generally tends to rain quite a bit, not all the time but often. Temperature is summer months are between 15-25 degrees Celsius (60-80 degrees Fahrenheit)

What kind of accommodation do we stay at?

  • Here at Valhalla Tours we go all in! Staying at the best accommodation each town has to offer. 

  • We try to mix up the accommodations between the best 5 star hotels and the quaint Guesthouse to give you both total relaxation and that Irish country vibe

Are tours suitable for wheelchair users or people with limited mobility?

  • We try to include everyone on our tours. Foldable wheelchairs can be accommodated on the bus, but each passenger will have to be able to walk, unassisted, on and off the bus.

  • Also, this being Ireland, some of the accommodations are older buildings without elevators. We can of course try to assist with ground floor bedrooms, but this cannot be guaranteed.

  • A reasonable level of fitness is required as our tours are relatively active, we want you to enjoy every minute of it.

Do I have to do all the activities included?

  • Of course not. This is your tour. If you are feeling tired or one of the activities is just not for you, you can always opt out. A good coffee and some people watching is always a good alternative.

Is tipping acceptable in Ireland?

  • Tipping is done at the customers' discretion in Ireland. We generally tip 10% - 15%. If a service is exceptional, 20% 

What kind of electrical outlet do you have in Ireland?

  • In Ireland we use a 3 prong 240v outlet. We recommend bringing an adaptor or two. These same adaptors can be used in the UK also (England Scotland Wales)

Can I get laundry done on tour?

  • Yes. We always want you looking and smelling your best while on tour. Laundry is available at any of our two night stops.
